A panel discussion, ‘What do teachers want from museum spaces’, will take place Wednesday 22nd July, 2015, 5:30pm – 7:30pm. The venue is the Primary School Library, St Laurence’s College, 82 Stephens Rd, South Brisbane. Parking is available in the Stephens Road carpark. Tea Coffee and light refreshments are being generously provided by St Laurences. Entry is free, but we would be grateful for a gold coin donation.
This discussion explores what teachers want from museums. The aim of this evening is to provide insights into how museums can meet the needs of 21st century students. The format will be a series of questions to panels and audience.
Some of the themes we’ll cover are: the perfect museums excursion; the value museums provide to teachers and students; what students enjoy about museums spaces; the barriers schools face with excursions; providing deeper experiences.
